Help if you are a User or Visitor with Disabilities
We want our website to be simple for everyone to use and we are addressing the needs of users with disabilities.
For example the site can detect if it is being accessed through a browser designed for visually impaired people. We recognise that there is more to be done and we are working towards full compliance with World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) guidelines. We have consulted the Royal National Institute for the Blind and have implemented their recommendations. If you have any advice on how we can meet your particular needs, we would be very pleased to receive your comments.
The Library is constantly working to make its buildings and services more easily accessible for people with disabilities.
There is also information on access to British Library Newspapers at Colindale in North London and for our reading room at Boston Spa in Yorkshire. See the links on the right for more information
